There are voice lessons, there is singing practice, there are ups and downs in singing but what if I told you it’s possible to have all that combined with fun and interaction with others? This possibility became available with karaoke battle sites. I know sounds corny right? But really, learning how to get a good singing voice requires practice and what better way to practise than with other singers in a friendly, vocal environment, you will end up singing really good by the end of it 
A few of them, organized like some fellow social networks, allow you to create a profile, practice, take singing tests, chose from a big variety of songs and explore your limits while you challenge other players.

In the end, if you hate all those packed “real life” karaoke places but still want company, you have found a great alternative to achieve your wishes. For example, I chose this way because I don’t always have time nor energy to take part in those big gatherings we do in “real life” karaoke (plus I got tired of hearing the same voices over and over again but hush…). On those sites, you just need an internet connection and voila! Welcome to your online, crowded and exciting singing field! Before I forget though, your connection has to be a little bit fast and you need a mic (and yes I heard that “thank you captain obvious” but you never know).
More about the battles: the songs are classified in two categories easy and hard (basically vocal or instrumental). It’s your choice and you can set when your battle is created or a choice you can leave to the competitors. Various members from Japan, Poland, Greece… can then join your virtual podium. There are two types of battles, the private ones (invisible to the public, you have to invite members you want there) or the public ones (anyone can join, make it interesting, promote it on chat if you like and go!).
When you create a battle, you decide when to launch the countdown, you can set your preferences (volume, pitch etc) and chat in there. You can also go to the “Party Mode” section, which speaks volumes by itself.
